Please note: SenSpa does not recommend massage within the 1st trimester. Should you wish to receive massage before 13 weeks, SenSpa requires written approval by your physician. Due to the changes in the pregnant woman's body, deep tissue massage is contraindicated. The pregnancy pillow may be used up to 24 weeks. After 24 weeks, and at the discretion of the therapist, we use side-lying position.

Based on the ancient Asian healing and detoxification technique, Gua Sha massage uses a traditional tool that is gently rubbed back and forth across the muscle in a friction motion to stimulate and increase circulation. Longer Swedish style strokes connect the various areas worked.
